{ Expecting : Nikki }

A few days before Nikki's due date i had a call out for an expecting mum due within the following 2 weeks to help me with a little something i had up my sleeve.
Nikki was kind enough to help me out, the day before her due date!

We spent some time together discovering some gorgeous little sun lit spots around the southern Gold Coast chatting away about her growing little family.
Along the way we spotted an amazing little wrought iron swing sitting nicely next to a free flowing fresh water creek.. Total bliss! x

{ Birth : Stella }

When i first met Jemima , Brendan and Quinn at Jemima's maternity session, upon chatting away and touching on her birthing ideas , i knew this woman would achieve the birth she desired.
Jemima's first birthing with Quinn ended with an emergency cesarean and this time she was out to prove her body she could do this with little or no intervention.
Jemima had been practicing hypno-birthing and knew more then i even i knew, even after birthing  3 children of my own.
So i was extremely excited to be a part of their birthing journey as there chosen photographer.
Jem's due date came and past, we touched base every other day on how she was feeling and they day before Stella's arrival had a phone chat that made me so proud to be at this special moment, i had goosebumps from head to toe.

Around 11pm that night i received a text just explaining there was a little cramping but nothing to worry about.
1am rolled around and another text to say the pain was enough to wake her up.

My bags were already packed and in the car, and as hubby was away for work i had plans in place for my own 3 little blessings.

6am confirmed Jemima's bag of waters had broken and i set off on my drive to Tweed hospital. Dropping my tribe off to my (overly) excited parents.

What happened next , You can see below.

A successful drug free VBAC (Vaginal birth after cesarean)

I am in awe of this woman.

{ Expecting : Emily }

When Emily greeted me at the front door , the first thing i noticed was this glowing expecting mumma with the sweetest little bump.
I think we spent half (maybe more!) of our session chatting.
Emily had previously asked me for some tasteful maternity images, I asked Emily about her birth plan, her support network, what she was looking at having captured.
We probably could have gas-bagged the whole session away!
With some re-arranging of the furniture we turned her cosey little lounge room with gorgeous floor boards, into a perfect studio.
It was cold, raining and miserable outdoors, so it was rather nice being inside and warm.

I can just see now, Emily's fast approaching birth will be so empowering and memorable. And i can not wait to meet her precious little boy.
(Who made sure we knew he was around with a swift kick now and then)

{ Born : Ariella }

We pushed and pushed for Kathleens OB to have me present at her schedualed Cesarean section, but with it being a public hospital we didn't have much luck. I was over the moon to finally meet Ariella at her new born session. This squishy 4.9kg goddess was just a dream.
Her two adorable big brothers were just as sweet!

{Aimee}

 I met this gorgeous woman just over 2 years ago when we were both sitting out side the doors of an antenatal clinic awaiting one of our final hospital appointments both carrying big cuddly 10+lbs baby boys in our tummys.

Aimee and i hit it off so well we exchanged numbers and kept in touch in the lead up to our birth dates.

I got a late night call from Aimee curious as to whether her waters had broken! Un be known to her, she was on loud speaker and the phone was right next to my husbands ear... Whoops!

A gorgeous baby boy was born not long after followed by my own little man.

This is my precious friend Aimee.. Simply stunning
