{Sofia-Rose}

When i first met Meg and Lars we were joined by family and extended family at their baby shower. I knew then Miss Sofia-Rose would be born surrounded by copious amounts of love. And i wasn't wrong.

I first met Sofia when she ever so silently entered the world. I was blessed to be a part of that moment.

I had the tribe over last week for the 3rd stage of photos. Sofia's new born session. Again, Not a peep was heard, she layed there so content and blissful.

In a couple of weeks time we have Meg and Lars family session where im sure we will be surround again by doeting family and lots of laughter.

{Amanda + Ash + Lachlan}

It is such a buzz when you finally meet someone who is a huge admirer of your work and who has followed since the early days.
The excitement and buzz of it all is the best!

Amanda had been following Birthography for a while now and when my Sunday session became available she snapped it up. I saw them walking over the little bridge hand in hand i couldn't help but smile and know it was going to be a fun day.

We giggled and chatted and discovered sneaky parts of the park. Lauchy was in his element, riding dads back and swinging around.

Amanda, Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your family for that little hour.

{Bree + Xavier}

Bright and early on Saturday morning i caught up with a little family who i am sure to become a close part of their up coming photographic journey. And today was the beginning.

I packed one of Nan's old antique recliners and met near some open land and large pond near home. We were greeted with a huge 6ft Mumma Roo only metres away with baby on board, which made for X's highlight of the day!

Bree and Xavier have only 15 short weeks until a special arrival is welcomed into this blissful family. My next 'photo' meet with Bree will be for her maternity session and not long after that i will at the birth of baby blue. I can not believe how blessed i am to have such amazing people around me.

{ Best Friends }

Friday morning i hid in the shade of an old deserted driveway with a couple of gorgeous mummas, an adorable Miss Pink and a funky Boy Blue.. Born only 5 weeks apart, these 2 are friends for life.

{ Birth : Sofia-Rose }

Since launching Birthography i have had some special people come in to my life. It was honestly like a big white door opened and my life suddenly changed for the better. I was graced by these families wanting me to capture that moment in time. Friends wanting moments captured for family. This is how i met the gorgeous Meg and Lars (Plus extended family)

Meg's best friend Sam contacted me asking if she could hire me to capture Megs baby shower. And of course i said yes. On that day i met nanny to be, great nanny to be, siblings, aunties (lots of them!) best friends and family and spent time with the expecting parents.

It was such a fun day full of handmade foods, gifts and laughter right on the boat harbor in Tweed Heads, NSW.

Nanny Sue-Ellen and i kept chatting regularly about how Megs pregnancy was going and as the day drew closer i was honored to have been at the birth of Miss Sofia-Rose.

The warmth and passion in that room was like i had never felt.

The power of touch.

While best friend and god mother to be Sam rubbed Megs back, Nanny to be Sue-Ellen stroked and kissed her daughters forehead while Daddy in waiting held her hands tightly through contractions.

02.11.2011 - Happy Birthday Sofia-Rose.
